F. E. A. R. Combat is a first-person shooter game for Windows operating systems. It is centered around online multiplayer with three modes: deathmatch, which is not a team mode, capture the flag, where two teams play a deadly game of CTF, and control, which involves a team trying to take and hold control points on the map. Control is similar to King of the Hill.

F. E. A. R. Combat is an old game, and it shows. The graphics are blocky and lack clarity and realism- they would not look out of place on a Nintendo 64 game. The pool of available guns is shallow- there are only six to choose from, and they bear no resemblance to any real-world weapon, nor do they display any sci-fi technology or originality. The game itself also lacks depth, without much in the way of strategic tools, interesting maps, or innovative elements.

Although it is free to play, there are many good free to play shooters available today that are far better than F. E. A. R. Combat. It simply brings nothing new to the table that is not done better by a different game, and it has no originality to draw in players.

This is in addition to the face that the game is so old that the multiplayer servers are no longer running. There is no offline mode, so the game essentially has no functionality. In fact, the game is so old that it will not run on a modern Windows operating system. You would need to go back to Windows XP just to get it to run, then there would be no servers on which to play.

The bottom line is that F. E. A. R. Combat is not a good game, and it is so old that nobody can play it anymore.
